At Reason Test Prep, all of our GRE tutors have achieved elite scores on the GRE and all have been trained by RTP’s founder, who holds a perfect score on the Quant section of the GRE (170) and a near perfect score on the Verbal section (169).

We have been helping people prepare for the GRE since 2003 and have been tutoring the GRE online to students all over the world since 2011 and are therefore masters not just of the GRE itself but also of the methods needed to impart this knowledge and skill to others.

Unique Approach to Online GRE Tutoring

Although there is a body of content knowledge that one needs to be familiar with on the GRE, the GRE is not a test of that knowledge but of how one applies reasoning and critical thinking to that foundation. So while we help students build that foundation, our main focus is on sharpening those higher-order thinking skills, thus aligning students with what the GRE is really meant to test.

Additionally, since most test takers suffer from the stringent time constraints of the test, we focus on executive function and strategic decision making to help students master the art of proper time management on the GRE.

Rigorous Prep for High GRE Scores

Many business school applicants are misled by the advice that the GRE is easier than the GMAT. Even non-business school applicants who only consider the GRE get a false sense of security because the officially-released GRE questions and tests are just not representative of the difficulty of the actual exam (trust us, we regularly take the GRE ourselves!)

So we lead our clients through a rigorous program that includes the use of official GMAT questions and other supplementary resources in order to really prepare our students for the actual difficulty of the exam.

We’ve helped students who have gotten perfect scores on sections of the GRE but we’ve helped many more who start at a fairly low level, especially on Quant (they often begin by warning us that they are “really bad at Math!”).
